Notifications

Turn on browser notifications and sound alerts on every device you use, iPhone included.

PropDrop tells you about chats that need you, qualified clients, viewing requests and viewing reminders. Every notification shows in the bell inside the dashboard, and you can also get it as a device notification, even when PropDrop is in the background or closed.

Open Notifications

These settings are for this device only

Each phone and computer has its own settings. Turn notifications on for every device you use. Anyone on the team can do this, sales agents included.

Turn notifications on

Open Settings → Notifications

On the device you want notifications on.

Turn on Browser notifications

Flip the switch.

Save and allow

Click Save. Your browser asks whether to allow notifications; choose Allow.

Sound alerts

Sound alerts play a short chime when a new notification arrives while PropDrop is open. Turn it on or off on the same page and click Save. Sound is a per-device setting too.

On iPhone

Install the app first

On iPhone, notifications only work after you add PropDrop to the Home Screen and open it from there. If you're using PropDrop in a regular Safari tab, the notifications switch is disabled.

  1. Open PropDrop in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Open PropDrop from the new icon, go to Settings → Notifications and turn them on.

Full steps in Install the app.

Who gets what?

Not every notification goes to every role. For example, Needs you alerts go to the owner and managers, while qualified clients and viewing requests also go to sales agents. The full table is in Roles & permissions.

Not getting notifications?

  • You see that notifications are blocked: you denied permission earlier. Open your browser's site settings (the lock icon next to the address), allow notifications, then try again.
  • You see that this browser doesn't support notifications: try Chrome, Edge or Safari.
  • On iPhone: make sure you opened PropDrop from the Home Screen icon, not from Safari.
  • You see "Couldn't turn on notifications for this device": try again in a moment, or switch it off and on again and save.
  • Check that notifications for the browser itself aren't turned off in your phone or computer settings, and that Do Not Disturb is off.
